What it has been like to live in a pandemic?

When the quarantine started, I was comfortable with the idea of staying at home with no social interaction, but I never thought it would last this long...

In the first months of quarentine, my family was so worried about the cleanliness, so they washed their hands frequently and cleaned the house many times a day.

Then, my father get the virus and he was in bed for a week, the same as my grandma. But I´m glad the situation didn´t get worse. I think we are a lucky family, because the virus just made my father and grandma suffer from headache, but they are still with me. Also, my mother hasn't caught the virus and is an at-risk patient, so we have really been lucky.

About activities during the quarentine, I started reading a lot of comics and I get interested about drawing, because the idea of telling storys through drawings seemed very fascinating to me, so I took some courses to learn how to draw anatomy.

Regarding my studies, they became a problem when the classes started, because I didn´t have an adequate space to do my homeworks, so I had to buy a little table for my bed and that solved part of the problem. However, there is the problem of noise, because we are a family of seven, so it´s impossible to be in complete silence and that affects my concentration. But fortunately, I have a stable internet connection for my classes, so that´s not a problem.

About the future ahead, I think things will get better sooner or later. I believe that one day I will be able to rejoin with the rest of my family and friends. I´m living on that hope. So...yes, I´m more optimistic about the pandemic.

  5. We must have patience and strength in this present and in the expectation of a future where we can embrace each other.
For the time being, we must find the tools we have at hand to survive this confinement.
